The First Edition of Miss Oriental Tourism took place in Guangyuan, Sichuan, P.R. China on 8th May 2012 with the participation of 52 countries & territories.
prefectural city or prefectural level municipality is an administrative division of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), ranking below a province and above a county in China’s administrative structure.
Guangyuan’s economy is based on a diverse array of heavy industry, as well as mining and agriculture. It is an ancient city, notable for its relics and tombs. Plant 821, a large plutonium producing reactor is located near Guangyuan.
On May 12, 2008 a magnitude 7.9 earthquake occurred. 4,822 people were killed, 28,245 injured, and 125 missing in the city as of June 7, 2008.
The Miss Oriental Tourism 2012 pageant was 1st time been held in Guangyuan city and the winner was Miss Lithuania, Kritina Zukauskaite, the 1st runners-up was Miss Siberia, Olga Portnova, and the 2nd runners-up was Miss China.
